QuickBooks Stripe Connector Not Importing ACH Payments
ACH revenue missing from QuickBooks after connecting the free Stripe Connector? It's a known gap. How to confirm it, work around it, and fix it for good.
You connected the free Stripe Connector by QuickBooks, card sales are flowing in, and then month-end arrives: your ACH revenue is nowhere in QuickBooks. The payout deposits hit your bank feed, but the transactions inside them never appeared in the App transactions tab, so there is nothing to match against.
You are not misconfiguring anything. This is a known gap in the free connector. Here is how to confirm it, what to do about it this month, and the lasting fix. (If you want to skip ahead: Acodei syncs every Stripe charge regardless of payment method, ACH included. You can try it free.)
Confirm ACH is what's missing
Before blaming ACH specifically, verify the pattern:
- In your Stripe Dashboard, open Payments and filter by payment method. Note a few recent ACH (bank debit) payments and their amounts.
- In QuickBooks Online, open the App transactions tab (Transactions menu) and search for those amounts around the same dates.
- Check a payout that contained ACH activity. Users report that not only individual ACH transactions but entire payouts containing them fail to import.
If your card payments appear and the ACH ones do not, you have reproduced the gap.
Why it happens
The free connector handles core card-based activity (sales, refunds, payouts, fees) at a basic level, but ACH direct debit payments are a different payment flow in Stripe, with delayed confirmation and their own failure states (see Stripe's ACH Direct Debit documentation).
Reviews on the connector's QuickBooks app store listing have reported the ACH gap since at least February 2026, including a March 2026 review stating that ACH transactions and payouts containing them do not come through. As of August 2026, Intuit's help article for the connector does not document the limitation or a timeline for fixing it.
Workarounds if you stay on the free connector
Until Intuit closes the gap, ACH revenue has to enter QuickBooks another way:
- Record ACH sales manually. Create a sales receipt (or invoice payment, if you invoice) for each ACH payment, dated to the Stripe transaction date, into the same holding account your Stripe activity clears through.
- Handle the fees. Stripe nets its fee out of the payout, so a deposit-only entry will not tie out. Our guide to reconciling Stripe fees in QuickBooks walks through recording gross revenue and fees correctly.
- Match the payout in your bank feed. Once the manual entries exist, match the payout deposit against them rather than adding it as fresh income, or you will double-count revenue.
This works, but note what you have signed up for: every ACH payment, every month, by hand. At more than a handful of ACH transactions this stops being a workaround and becomes a bookkeeping job.
The lasting fix: a sync that covers every payment method
A payment-method gap is not something you can configure your way around; the tool either records the transaction or it does not. Acodei runs a continuous background sync that records every Stripe charge, refund, dispute, fee, and payout in QuickBooks automatically, regardless of how the customer paid. ACH payments sync once Stripe confirms them (ACH settlement takes a few business days by design), so your books reflect what actually cleared. Cards, wallets, and ACH all land with the correct account assignments from your mapping rules, and payout deposits reconcile against the synced activity.
Acodei also backfills history with duplicate protection, so the ACH months the free connector skipped can be brought in properly instead of reconstructed by hand. The full comparison with the free connector covers the rest of the differences.
FAQ
Does the free QuickBooks Stripe Connector support ACH at all?
User reviews from February and March 2026 report that ACH transactions do not import, reviews into August 2026 continue to report missing transactions, and Intuit's documentation neither confirms ACH support nor announces a fix. Treat ACH as unsupported until Intuit documents otherwise.
Will my books be wrong if I did nothing?
Your QuickBooks income will understate ACH revenue, and payout deposits in your bank feed will not match any recorded activity. If deposits were added directly from the bank feed as income, revenue may instead be recorded net of fees and without customer or product detail. Either way, month-end reconciliation will not tie out cleanly.
Can Acodei recover the months the connector missed?
Yes. Acodei supports historical backfill with duplicate protection against re-posting anything it has already synced. Set the backfill window to cover the missing period, and keep a clean cutoff against records the free connector already posted.
Stop hand-keying ACH revenue. Compare Acodei to the free connector or start a free trial and let the sync pick up every payment method Stripe supports.
