Edge cases stop being edge cases
At fifty transactions a month a disputed charge is an afternoon. At fifty thousand, disputes, reserves, holds, and negative payouts arrive every week and manual handling stops scaling.
For high-volume Stripe businesses
Thousands of charges, refunds, fees, disputes, and payouts a month, landed in QuickBooks Online by rules you set once — with the detail still there when your accountant asks where a number came from.

What changes at volume
At fifty transactions a month a disputed charge is an afternoon. At fifty thousand, disputes, reserves, holds, and negative payouts arrive every week and manual handling stops scaling.
Summarising a day is fine until someone asks why fees moved 14% in one week. With a summary-only tool that is the end of the road; the choice was made for you when you signed up.
One bank deposit can cover thousands of gross charges net of fees and refunds. Matching that back by hand is where high-volume books quietly drift out of balance.
How Acodei handles volume
Taking payments in more than one currency? Multi-currency sync sets out the prerequisites and the limits — our team turns it on for your account, QuickBooks multicurrency has to be enabled on your side, Undeposited Funds cannot be the holding account, and zero-decimal currencies such as JPY are not supported today.
Audit-readiness
Volume only helps if you can still answer questions about it. Acodei keeps the link between each QuickBooks record and the Stripe activity behind it, and gives you somewhere to look when a day does not add up.
Historical Data Import replays past Stripe activity through the same pipeline as live syncing, deduplicated against whatever Acodei has already synced. A large backfill settles progressively rather than instantly — payout deposits can only be built once the charges beneath them have landed.
Implementation and support
Enterprise plans cover 10,000 to 250,000 synced transactions a month and include a one-time block of integration work from our team — two hours on monthly billing, five on annual — plus proactive account checks and priority same-day support by email, Zoom, or Slack. Accounting firms and multi-entity companies can request a custom plan with a dedicated account manager, private Slack channel, and quarterly reviews.
Weighing this against a general-purpose automation tool or a summary-only connector? See how Acodei compares, or read the complete guide to Stripe payout reconciliation in QuickBooks.
Running client books at volume instead of your own? Acodei for accountants and bookkeepers. Billing on Stripe subscriptions? Stripe accounting for SaaS.

Yes. Published plans run to 250,000 synced transactions a month, and volumes beyond that are quoted individually. A transaction is each Stripe event Acodei syncs into QuickBooks — a sale, refund, payout, invoice, or payment on an invoice. Failed and incomplete payments are never counted, which matters at volume because retry-heavy accounts generate a lot of them.
Either, and it is a setting on your account rather than a plan restriction. Real-time sync posts a QuickBooks record per Stripe transaction. Daily summary posts one sales receipt per day covering that day’s gross sales, refunds, and fees. It is the compact option at volume, and it has real tradeoffs: a daily summary does not sync individual Stripe invoices and does not carry customer names, so if you need either, real-time sync is the right mode.
A holding account in QuickBooks mirrors your Stripe balance. Charges and refunds flow into it, fees come out of it, and each Stripe payout clears it against the matching bank deposit. Disputes, reserves, adjustments, and other balance-transaction types are mapped once in Balance Transaction Mapping and then post by type, so a month with thousands of transactions still reconciles by the same rules as a month with fifty.
Yes. Historical Data Import pulls activity from before you connected Acodei and runs it through the same sync pipeline as live activity, so the imported records look identical to ongoing ones and are deduplicated against anything already synced. You preview the volume and the cost of an import before running it, and annual plans include historical-data credits. Large imports settle progressively rather than all at once — payout deposits can only be built after the charges beneath them land.
Unlimited Stripe accounts and unlimited users are included on every paid plan, so a business running several Stripe accounts into one QuickBooks company does not pay per connection.
Enterprise plans include a one-time block of integration work from our team — two hours on monthly billing, five on annual — plus proactive account checks and priority same-day support by email, Zoom, or Slack. Connect Stripe and QuickBooks Online, map your accounts once, and let the month’s activity book itself — with the detail still there when you need it.
