Advanced Product Mapping

Why teams choose Advanced Product Mapping

High-impact capabilities that reduce accounting effort while improving data accuracy.

Map beyond one default product

Create specific rules using Stripe Product ID, Price ID, metadata, descriptions, transaction values, and Stripe account ID.

Keep control with rule priority

Acodei evaluates mappings top-to-bottom, so precise rules can override broad ones and avoid misclassified revenue.

Extend mapping to refunds and fees

Use the same mapping engine for sales, refunds, and Stripe fees to keep your QuickBooks data consistent and audit ready.

Sales tax lands where your books expect it

Tax that Stripe calculates comes across on the same sale, not as a separate reconciliation step. US QuickBooks companies map it to a single liability product, because QuickBooks does not let a third party create official sales-tax rates. Non-US companies map each Stripe tax rate to a QuickBooks tax code, group codes included. Both need Stripe Tax switched on in your Stripe account first. See how Stripe Tax reaches QuickBooks.

Already mapping products? Pair these rules with class tracking to segment the same revenue by QuickBooks class.

Mapping depth is the clearest difference between the tools in this category. See Acodei compared with Synder.

FAQ

Common questions about Advanced Product Mapping

Can I map subscription tiers separately?
Yes. Mapping by Stripe Price ID is designed for monthly/annual or tiered pricing so each tier can post to its own QuickBooks product.
Does this work for multi-currency transactions?
Yes, but value-based rules match by both amount and currency. A USD amount will not match an identical numeric value in another currency.
What happens when multiple rules could match?
Only the first matching rule applies. Keep high-specificity rules at the top of the mapping list.
Does advanced mapping cover sales tax as well as products and fees?
Yes, if Stripe Tax is switched on in your Stripe account. Tax is configured in the same Account Mapping screen as your product and fee rules. In US QuickBooks companies the tax total posts to one liability product; non-US companies map each Stripe tax rate to a QuickBooks tax code. Without Stripe Tax on the Stripe side there is nothing for Acodei to read, and non-US companies can have tax applied in QuickBooks after the fact instead, which our team enables.
